Promoting the benefits of e-mobility, the Volkswagen BUDD-e concept vehicle is currently wowing Chinese audiences with its zero emissions and 330 miles of driving range.
With many Chinese cities suffering the ill effects of air pollution, electric cars have the power to sustain a cleaner future for the country; already working to reduce congestion by limiting the number of newly-issued car registrations, electric vehicles are planned to receive priority in the Chinese licensing process. The only condition is that they must be made locally in order to jump the queue. With obtaining new car registrations being such a long process at present, drivers in China are excited to see their options expand.
BUDD-e is working to promote Volkswagen’s long-term plans for development, with the aim to introduce seven new electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles to China by 2020. To keep up to speed with all of the latest information, please visit www.ridgeway.co.uk/volkswagen.
