15/12/15: The highly-anticipated smart fortwo cabrio is set to arrive at dealerships in early 2016, with a price tag of just £13,265 OTR. The last addition to the smart family includes an electrically-operated fabric roof, beautiful design and extremely economical running costs, with a handy folding tailgate.
The fortwo cabrio is sold with a black soft top as standard, but can be amended with a red option for only £115. A compact wind deflector is also available for a modest £59.
The fortwo cabrio will be sold with one of two engine types – 71 hp or 90 hp turbo – with a five-speed manual gearbox or six speed dual clutch automatic transmission (£995). The latter option promises nippy gear shifts and increased efficiency on even the 90 hp engine.
Much like previous fortwo and forfour models, the cabrio will be released in three model lines – passion, prime and proxy. The passion will include 15” eight-spoke alloy wheels with either an orange/black or black/grey interior, while the prime will feature 15” five-twin-spoke black alloys and stylish black leather upholstery with grey stitching. The proxy model comes with 16” eight-Y-spoke alloy wheels and an eye-catching blue and white interior with Artico and cloth upholstery.
Both the prime and proxy are priced at £695 over the passion models, with all three tipped to become firm favourites with buyers.
The only way to discover what the smart fortwo Cabrio is really like is to take a test drive. We would be delighted to arrange this for you (either from the showroom, your office or home).
