Just last month, demand for alternatively-fuelled vehicles, including electric cars and hybrids, increased by just over 12%, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
It's this trend that was the first reason for us to focus this edition of DRIVEN on the electric revolution. The second reason, as readers may well know, is that recently here at Ridgeway BMW we spent a week celebrating all things electric.
Elsewhere, we've an in-depth look at the BMW 7 Series created to celebrate 100 years of the brand, a number of exciting competitions for you to enter, and an interview with Dan Clark, Ridgewway BMW's very own iBrand Manager. What's more, for all your upcoming adventures, dont miss our aftersales section with a number of incredible offers, includin 25% off BMW roof boxes.
And you may be interested to find out that the Ridgeway Bournemouth BMW Service Centre has been recognised as one of the top performing BMW retailers in the country.
I think it's safe to say that the MINI has grown up. Now, don't get me wrong - it's still young at heart, and is certainly one of the most individual and creative choices on the road.
But it's almost 70 years old now, and it's learnt a lot. You might have noticed a change in the look of our magazine a few issues back, and a shift to this smart new theme is just a part of the ongoing develpment of MINI.
And the rest you'll feel when you step inside any model in our current range. Innovatins like the head-up display, as well as the almost infinite customisation, make each one a highly personal and impressively appointed luxury vehicle. And they're still an absolute blast to drive. Not bad for 70.
