A new installation at Milan’s Salone Del Mobile exhibition is demonstrating exactly how MINI’s design principles could be applied to urban living spaces.
With houses in cities often lacking in size and affordability, MINI LIVING demonstrates how housing can be both small and sophisticated, with intelligent storage and technology across a 30-square-metre apartment.
Opening different shelves provides access to various objects and functions, with a foldable kitchenette and music system. MINI LIVING’s motto is “Do Disturb”, with the social aspect of living in a bustling city highly encouraged; flexible elements of the space can make it either “open” or “closed”, for more privacy or increased social interaction.
MINI’s mantra of “creative use of space” is the lifeblood of the MINI brand, with an overriding ethic that small can also be exciting. MINI LIVING takes this concept from the road to the home, showing how maximum potential can be obtained from the most petite packages.
