Used to being put through its paces on the road, the MINI Countryman is experiencing a very different kind of journey on Friday the 22nd of January.
Fitness expert Ross Edgley is taking part in an intrepid trial on Silverstone Circuit, whereby he will attempt to complete a marathon while pulling a MINI John Cooper Works Countryman behind him. The social media icon has over 500,000 followers of his fitness exploits, and this particular stunt is due to attract even more attention to Edgley’s impressive strength and endurance.
Edgley has been training for over eight months in preparation for the gallant task, consuming a specially formulated diet of 6,000 calories and working alongside ex-Olympic athlete Linford Christie and Geoff Capes, who was twice awarded the title of World’s Strongest Man.
The MINI Countryman is the brand’s second largest car in the range, so Edgley certainly has his work cut out for him. Not to be perturbed, the health guru stands loyal to his selection of opponent, stating that the MINI Countryman was an ideal choice for the task.
“MINI is a brand that’s known for fun and adventure,” says Edgley. “I wanted to choose a car that would not look out of place over country terrain and MINI Countryman fits the bill perfectly.”
