4/12/15: November 2015 has blasted into the record books for Mercedes-Benz, with the best-selling eleventh month in the brand’s history. SUVs and compact cars in particular have proven to be big hit, with 50,000 of each being sold. Bestsellers are revealed to be the GLA and GLC, with the GLS anticipated to follow suit since its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show this November. The C-Class, Saloon and Estate also surpassed 40,000 units for the first time this year, with the S-Class Saloon continuing to reign as the best-selling luxury saloon in the world.
In Europe, November sales were up 10.5% on the previous November, with an impressive 726,606 being sold since the start of the year.
Smart have also enjoyed increased popularity this season. The smart fortwo and forfour lifting sales to a total of 10,840 units worldwide – An noteworthy increase of 45.3%. The versatile city car brand has enjoyed a successful 100,000 units being sold in 2015, with European sales doubling since last year. Keen to keep up with demand, the new smart forfour has been pipped for release in China in the Spring of 2016, and the car2go has just been released in Madrid this November, ideal for the fourth city in the world with an all-electric fleet.
Mercedes-Benz is predicted to continue with a successful December, with the end-of-year figures anticipated with excitement by the Stuttgart-based brand.
