With the first deliveries due in May, the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is now available to order from dealers in the UK, priced from £35,935 OTR.
The highly-anticipated release will feature various options for customization, including an SE and AMG trim line and a choice of E 220 d and E 350 d engine. The E 350, a petrol-electric hybrid, will join the team later in the year.
The SE line will include a Garmin Map Pilot navigation system with 8.4-inch display as standard, alongside Parktronic parking sensors, Park Pilot self-parking and Pre-Safe anticipatory safety systems, Collision Prevention Assist Plus, 64-colour selectable LED interior lighting, two-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery and heated seats.
The AMG line will feature a package consisting of unique bumpers and side skirts, 19-inch alloy wheels, perforated front brake discs, three-spoke AMG steering wheel and Artico leather and Dynamica microfiber upholstery.
And additional Lane Tracking package is available for £595, which includes Passive Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Assist, while an extensive Driving Assist Plus Package can be purchased for £1,695, featuring advanced Drive pilot technology to increase both pleasure and safety behind the wheel.
After the success of its predecessor, the new E-Class is foreseen to be a hit with both private and fleet customers, with statement Mercedes-Benz luxury and innovation a prerequisite.
