Celebrating the third consecutive year that Land Rover has won the title of Best Large SUV, the What Car? Awards 2016 proved to be an incredible night for the premium brand.
The Range Rover Sport received the prestigious accolade in 2014 and 2015, while the 2016 prize went to the almighty Land Rover Discovery Sport. Undeniably practical and of the upmost quality, the Discovery Sport was also hailed the Best Buy in the £25,000 - £40,000 price band.
After being kicked up a notch with a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ignesium diesel engine, the Discovery Sport went head and shoulders above its competition by increasing output while cutting back on C02 emissions and fuel consumption. Equipped with innovative driver assistance and safety features, such as a pedestrian airbag and Autonomous Emergency Braking, the model also racked up a Five Star Euro NCAP rating. With lowered running and depreciation costs alongside its technological advancements, the Discovery Sport has remained a hit across the board, pleasing not only retail customers, but fleet and business customers, too.
The Range Rover Vogue SE grabbed the third honour for the brand at the What Car? Awards, after being named the Best Buy in the £70,000 - £100,000 bracket. Presenting superior versatility in the luxury car market, the model continues to turn heads alongside the brand overall.
The only way to discover what the Land Rover Discovery Sport is really like is to take a test drive. We would be delighted to arrange this for you (either from the showroom, your office or home).
