500 days after production started in October 2014, Land Rover‘s 100,000th unit of the popular model has been manufactured in Halewood, UK.
This wasn’t just any Discovery Sport, either – Land Rover went under cover with a local family, the Liptons, to produce a one-of-a-kind vehicle for mum Natalie, under careful instruction of her sons, 7-year-old Jacob and 5-year-old Noah.
Jacob and Noah, with help from Land Rover experts, had access to a host of design tools at the Halewood plant and were able to produce some extra-special touches to make Natalie’s surprise a Mother’s Day gift to remember.
A personalised scarf, picnic blanket, seat-back tidies, sets of wellies and a signed cookbook from James Martin are just some of the treats inside the lucky mum’s SUV, with premium versatility a prerequisite of the 5-seat family favourite.
Given that a new Discovery Sport is produced every 2 minutes and 40 seconds, the opulent Land Rover remains a much sought-after vehicle, with its success deemed to continue.

The only way to discover what the Discovery Sport is really like is to take a test drive. We would be delighted to arrange this for you (either from the showroom, your office or home).
