The Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured, wounded and sick members of the Armed Forces, begin trails for the UK Team today – All with the backing of Jaguar Land Rover.
Providing financial and logistical support via fleet vehicles, as well as branding on the UK team’s competition kit, will see Jaguar Land Rover at the forefront of the event.
Taking place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, on the 8th – 12th of May, the event uses sport as a tool promote recovery, support, rehabilitation and respect for military personnel.
Hiring more than 200 former servicemen and women since 2013, Jaguar Land Rover consistently provide assistance to those leaving the Armed Forces, with a work placement programme running in conjunction with Mission Motorsport and the Ministry of Defence’s Career Transition Partnership, aiding former service people in in finding a successful second career.
With strong British roots, Jaguar Land Rover take great honour in its long-standing relationship with those who have served in the Armed Forces, setting a grand precedent for community investment.
