For the first time in BMW’s history, with a monumental 200,000 vehicles were registered to new owners; the largest figure for a single month that the Group has experienced to date.
MINI, as a division, saw the brand’s highest monthly sales in March 2016, with 39,061 deliveries worldwide; that’s a 6.6% rise on the same period last year. BMW Group as a whole have also managed to increase sales by 3.5% in March, with a total of 240,659 models.
BMW Group’s year-to-date sales total is currently standing at a colossal 557,605 vehicles; up 5.9%. The first quarter of 2016 has also proved to be prosperous, with sales in Europe up by 9.5%, and in Asia by 10%. BMW motorcycles and maxi-scooters have also been enjoying a sales high, with BMW Motorrad’s figures increasing by 3.5% in March (16,465 units), with overall sales for the year increasing by 7.7%.
