If your commutes are a bore, worry no more; Deezer is joining Napster as a music provider for BMW Online Entertainment, bringing a catalogue of over 35 million tunes to suit every taste.
With no smartphone required, Deezer and Napster’s online streams are made available through an on-board vehicle SIM, unlocking countless tracks without download limits or data charges. An active signal will buffer tracks to dramatically reduce the risk of dropped audio, with a hard-drive backed up with previously streamed music, just in case.
The service can be accessed by up to three mobile devices, so custom playlists can be made in advance of your next journey. If you’re stuck for ideas, a DAB radio is also available, which can pick songs and albums based on previous selections.
A subscription to BMW Online Entertainment is priced at £160 a year, with new users able to trial the service for just £1 when they register through the ConnectedDrive store.
