From the establishment of BMW Motorsport GmbH in 1972 to the introduction of the all-electric BMW i in 2013, BMW have remained at the cutting edge of automation – and they’re not hitting the brakes any time soon.
A centenary event took place at the BMW Group Classic building in Moosacher Straße 66 on the 7th of March, celebrating the past 100 years of excellence. Journalists were welcomed to a press conference to give details about the centenary, while the afternoon’s proceedings involved a multimedia show at the Munich Olympic Hall, with 2,000 guests from esteemed fields in business, politics, research, society and media, alongside selected dealers, suppliers and associates. BMW Group took the opportunity to present their future vision for the next 100 years at the brand, as well as a conceptual Vision Vehicle.
A world tour exhibition will now take place, travelling to China, UK and the USA, spreading BMW Group’s iconic prospective for the next century of motoring.
