Chauffeuring renowned actor Daniel Brühl and girlfriend Felicitas Rombold from their hotel to the Berlinale Film Festival in Germany, Audi have shown off their innovative A8 model with absolutely no conventional driver.
Registering buildings along the route, the piloted A8 was able to map its journey by logging pre-set calculations and spontaneous tracking.
The event has publicly shown how piloted driving can easily negotiate urban traffic, with the A8 even returning to its garage after a prompt from a smartphone app.
Piloted systems are expected to not only increase the pleasure and convenience of travelling by car, but also increase safety. When used as a temporary assistant on a journey, stress is significantly reduced, with rest, leisure and comfort being far more freely available.
