It was a double success for Ridgeway at the Motor Trader Industry Awards gala dinner last week - one of the biggest nights in the retail motor industry calendar, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
On the evening of Wednesday 8th July, 25 categories celebrated best practice in the car retailing business. Ridgeway were shortlisted for five awards (Motor Factor, Best New Dealership, Social Media, Employer and Business Manager of the Year Awards) – the great news is that Ridgeway walked away with two accolades!
Firstly, Ridgeway were absolutely delighted to win the prestigious "Employer of the Year" Award. Before an audience of 1,200 the award was collected by a very proud Chief Executive, John O'Hanlon.
John commented “This award acknowledges the way Ridgeway has set new standards for recruiting, nurturing and driving employee satisfaction. This accolade underlies Ridgeway’s status as an employment destination as well as providing a great place to work.”
Ridgeway were also delighted to win the "Social Media" Award and this was presented to Group Marketing Manager, Philip J. Deacon - beating off some very strong competition. This award recognises Ridgeway's delivery of a wide social media presence driving customer engagement and sales – with innovative content.
A special mention also goes to Ryan Amos (Ridgeway Volkswagen), who was 'Highly Commended' in the "Business Manager of the Year" award category.
These two awards are further evidence that Ridgeway, who have Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar, MINI, SKODA and smart dealerships across six southern counties, have been recognised yet again against some very credible opposition.
